Intro:
Stainless steel forgings, formed by heating stainless steel and using a compressive force to form the molten metal into a particular shape, offer many advantages. Stainless steel forgings contain 10 to 12% chromium and provide great corrosion resistance to a variety of structures, such as pressure vessels, turbines and boilers, in temperatures ranging up to 1800°F (982oC) or higher. Stainless steel forgings also offer high strength, excellent wear, and an ability to withstand high temperatures while maintaining favorable mechanical properties.
